"To live or not to live"
|
Being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in the early year of 2017, I had no idea what kind of life I would live with this diagnosis. Many people who fight for, or are diagnosed with Chronic Illness have the same thoughts.
We cant make up our minds on the journey, we will now have to follow. We are scared shitless from the time the Doctors say the words... (Chronic Illness) yes those words. Two words can make a person quit their career paths, schooling, relationships, and sometimes lives. I myself changed my own thinking because of these two words, but i want to share with you how I allow myself to over come the scary Chronic Illness Title and move forward with a joyful life living beyond "Chronic Illness". |
Think positive even when you can't!
Positive is Hard
Positive thinking is probably the hardest part of having a Chronic Illness. Learning how to tame the negative thinking is a every day job.
Just looking into your newly diagnosed illness fills your screen with scary, horrible, and down right negative thoughts, I call this chasing the rabbit down the rabbit hole! It's ok to search, but once you start feeling scared and thinking all these things will happen to you tomorrow, STOP. Walk away! Take it as it comes. Find a good support system, you will need it. Ill go into more info latter. |
